Gregory Crewdson #2

"Photographer Gregory Crewdson is renowned for his haunting and frequently cinematic portraits of the secrets of suburban life, so it seems fitting that his home and studio in North Egremont, Massachusetts, is a converted Methodist Church, complete with a crypt. Crewdson was raised in Brooklyn but spent time in Massachusetts during his childhood. “I began making pictures here,” he says. “There are artists who respond to a particular place or setting; I am one of those artists.”

Crewdson will soon have a new space to work on his elaborate photographs, which often involve production crews, electricians, art departments, and big budgets. He is currently converting the building next door—formerly the village fire station—into a studio." (bron: Architectural Digest)
